Illinois is one of a few states that permits a defendant to bring a contribution action against the employer. This allows us to represent employers in two additional capacities – defending the employer in the contribution action in the civil filing and assisting the employer in subrogation matters to obtain reimbursement of its workers’ compensation lien.
